i know every entry i've written in the past, oh, year and a half has basically started with something like "oh, sorry i haven't been around and..." but i really must admit my inner (and outer) computer-loving self really missing ol' livejournal and those who use it.

however, i must finally admit that livejournal will be taking a backseat for a bit of time until i can get some things in order in "real life". work, an almost 16 month old (!!) and life in general have been proving nearly impossible to keep up up with, so until i get my "ducks in a row", as they say, i will be using livejournal a little less frequently. okay, a lot less frequently.

that said, i'll try to keep up with y'alls journals and such, but in the event that you'd like to contact me as i attempt to sort out my life, here's ze contact info:

at the show i somehow managed to lose my phone. i held off on suspending my line in hopes that maybe it would show up, but alas, my little phone is off somewhere in carrboro.

happy mother's day from dario-n-me!

today, dario and i went to a obama nc pre-voting thing where we saw superchunk and the arcade fire (for free, i might add). slightly pink from the sun and a few meltdowns later (a little bit of over-stimulation for both of us) i still don't like the arcade fire (but am happy to report that my first live superchuck show was amazing) but i'm hoping the arcade fire will have staying power and thus, when dario is 15, i can brag and say "oh dude, i totally took you to your first arcade fire show when you were one".

as much as i like superchunk/now seeing them live, i still like the two dollar pistols version of drive way to drive way best. maybe i'm biased :)

still alive, still kicking.

the new job is going amazingly well (more details when i have time to actually organize my thoughts). dario is doing splendidly at daycare (there are only 5-6 children there at any time, 3 of which are his age). it's all a pretty perfect set-up thus far, though my job isn't as concrete as i'd like just yet. can i be any more vague?

at any rate, i've been reading everyone's journals even if i've been a little less than on top of commenting.

after dario turned 1 year, i decided to join the bandwagon and do the "365" thing. so, if you need a daily dario fix, there's where you can get it. it's way easier to load photos than it is to write real entries (duh).

edit: i'm thinking of getting a flickr account pro; i've noticed a lot of y'all have the pro account...is it worth the $25? i know $25 isn't a lot of money, but we're budgeting, so i want to use money wisely :)
